INTERVIEW-Premier Foods Has No Sell Off Plans - CEO
LONDON (Reuters) - Hovis bread and Mr Kipling cake maker Premier Foods (PFD.L: Quote, Profile, Research) has no current plans sell off any of its businesses, the firm's chief executive told Reuters on Tuesday.
"We have got no plans to sell off parts of the business," Chief Executive Robert Schofield said in a telephone interview.
He didn't rule out future sales however.
"We always look at the whole portfolio and see what is strategic to us and what is not. We also ask ourselves the question whether we can maximise any part of the business or if some other business might do it better," he added.
Analysts had speculated that the firm would be forced to sell off some of it units to pay off some of its growing debt burden.
