Tupperware posts higher profit in first quarter
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Tupperware Brands Corp (TUP.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday that first-quarter net profit rose, helped by a 19 percent increase in revenues.
The company, whose food storage containers are sold at in-home parties, said that quarterly net profit was $32.1 million, or 51 cents per share, compared with $19.6 million, or 32 cents per share, a year earlier.
