POLL-ECB to allot 14.0 billion euros at weekly tender

May 8 (Reuters) - The European Central Bank will allot 14.0
billion euros ($15.3 billion) to banks at its weekly refinancing
operation on Tuesday, a Reuters poll predicted.
ECB allotments to banks have been on a downward trend this
year, suggesting liquidity is improving. Banks were taking over
34 billion euros at the start of 2017 but borrowed 14.4 billion
last week.
Forecasts in the poll of 21 euro money market traders ranged
from 12.0 billion to 15.0 billion euros.
