U.S. crude settles up 1.25 pct on lift from data, weak dollar

NEW YORK, March 7 (Reuters) - U.S. crude rose 1.25 percent on Thursday as data showing a drop in jobless claims and the weaker dollar supported U.S. futures, while a pipeline restart limited Brent's crude gains and narrowed the spread between the two crude contracts.

U.S. April crude rose $1.13, or 1.25 percent, to settle at $91.56 a barrel, having traded from $90.22 to $91.73. (Reporting by Robert Gibbons; Editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
