LONDON (Reuters) - German dance group Scooter zoomed to the top of the album charts on Sunday with their new release "Jumping All Over The World", according data from the Official UK Charts Company.

It was the first British number one for the Hamburg techno act, who have released 18 albums over the past 15 years

Madonna's "Hard Candy" slipped to second place, while Welsh singer Duffy was steady at number three with her album "Rockferry".

Sheffield heavy metal group Def Leppard were a new entry at number 10 with "Songs From The Sparkle Lounge", while Leeds indie band Hadouken debuted at number 12 with "Music For An Accelerated Culture".

There was little change in the singles charts, where Madonna was number one for a fourth week with "4 Minutes", featuring Justin Timberlake.

London rapper Wiley moved up one notch to number two with "Wearing My Rolex", swapping places with "Black and Gold" from soul singer Sam Sparro at number three.

Rock band Coldplay were the week's highest new entry with their track "Violet Hill", taken from their upcoming album "Viva la Vida".
