Mexico's Televisa 4th-quarter rises 17 pct

MEXICO CITY, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Mexican broadcaster Televisa said on Thursday its net profit rose 17 percent in the fourth quarter.

Grupo Televisa (TV.N: Quote, Profile, Research) (TLVACPO.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) said it earned 2.835 billion pesos ($260 million) in the October-December quarter compared with 2.430 billion pesos in the same period last year.

Results were above a Reuters survey of analysts, who were expecting a quarterly net profit of 2.601 billion pesos. (Reporting by Cyntia Barrera Diaz; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)
