Heelys CEO resigns, Parks named temporary head
LOS ANGELES, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Heelys Inc (HLYS.O: Quote, Profile, Research), the company that makes sneakers that double as roller-skates, said on Friday it had accepted the resignation of Chief Executive Michael Staffaroni, its head since 2001.
Ralph Parks, the former CEO of FootAction USA who was named to the Heelys board on Jan. 29, will serve as interim CEO, the company said. An executive search firm will be retained to search for a new chief executive, Heelys said in a statement.
