NEW YORK, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Two additional defendants have been indicted in a criminal case involving questionable tax shelters that has already led to charges against current and former Ernst & Young [ERNY.UL] partners, according to a court filing on Tuesday.

The original case was filed in May 2007 against four defendants, who were all current or former partners of the accounting firm.

The new indictment, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, adds charges against new defendants David Smith and Charles Bolton, who both worked for outside firms and are accused of participating in an alleged tax-shelter fraud. (Reporting by Martha Graybow, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
