Scottish Re says may sell North American life ops

BOSTON, April 4 (Reuters) - Scottish Re Group Ltd (SKRRF.PK: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday it may sell some or all of its North American Life Reinsurance business, according to a regulatory filing.

The company said it had hired Merrill Lynch to help with the possible sale of the business. It also said it had hired Keefe Bruyette & Woods to advise it on a possible sale of its international life business. (Reporting by Svea Herbst-Bayliss)
