WASHINGTON, April 11 (Reuters) - AMR Corp's (AMR.N: Quote, Profile, Research)
American Airlines said on Friday it canceled about 200 MD-80
flights for Saturday and would return to a full, normal
schedule on Sunday.
By late Friday afternoon, American had reinspected and
returned to service 231 of its 300 MD-80 aircraft, the company
said in a statement.
American grounded more than 3,000 flights this week to
reinspect the wiring on its MD-80 aircraft, a safety step that
affected hundreds of thousands of travelers.
