William Demant FY Operating Profit Meets Expectations
COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danish hearing-aid maker William Demant (WDH.CO: Quote, Profile, Research) posted a 0.2 percent fall in full-year 2007 operating profit, in line with expectations, and forecast rising profits for 2008.
The company's earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) came in at 1.268 billion Danish crowns ($260.8 million), against the mean forecast in a Reuters poll of 14 analysts of 1.3 billion crowns and 1.271 billion crowns in 2006.
Demant forecast EBIT rising to between 1.4 billion and 1.5 billion crowns in 2008.
