Antigenics raises $21 million in private placement
BOSTON (Reuters) - Antigenics Inc (AGEN.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday it agreed to sell 7 million shares in a private placement to raise $21 million to help fund the launch of its cancer vaccine, Oncophage, in Russia.
The New York-based biotechnology company said it agreed to sell the stock for $3.00 a share. Investors will also receive five-year warrants to purchase up to 7 million additional shares at an exercise price of $3.75 a share.
The funds will also be used to fund regulatory applications in other countries. Rodman and Renshaw Capital Group Inc is the sole placement agent.
