NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - Shares of Ryland Group Inc (RYL.N: Quote, Profile, Research) fell 5.66 percent to $25 in after-hours trade on Wednesday after the No. 9 U.S. homebuilder posted a deeper quarterly loss, citing inventory write-offs, joint venture impairments and an income tax charge.
