Greek PPC 9M profit surges to 642.7 mln euros
ATHENS, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Greece's biggest electricity producer on Tuesday reported nine-month net profit of 642.7 million euros ($962.7 million) versus a 244.6 million euro loss last year, helped by lower power generation costs.
PPC's (DEHr.AT) earnings beat analysts' average forecast of 622.7 million euros.
Earnings before interest, tax depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose fivefold to 1.37 billion euros, also above forecasts. (Reporting by Harry Papachristou)
