PUERTO LA CRUZ, June 28 (Reuters) - Brazil coach Dunga refused to be downhearted on Thursday after the previous night's 2-0 defeat to Mexico in the Copa America, his first competitive match in charge.
Looking weary after a sleepless night, Dunga said his team had improved greatly from their last match, a dreary goalless draw against Turkey in a friendly on June 5.
"Compared to the match against Turkey, Brazil created far more chances but the ball wouldn't go in," he told reporters at the team hotel.
"Losing a match doesn't mean that everything is wrong, just as winning a match doesn't mean everything is right."
"Brazil always has to win, that's a fact. The pressure and the demands are something we have to get used to. We have to find a way to get over this."
Dunga admitted that he had slept little after the shock result.
"It's always difficult after a defeat. It's even difficult after a win because of the adrenalin," he said. Continued...
