Soccer-ZESCO United win first Zambian league title

LUSAKA, Oct 8 (Reuters) - ZESCO United clinched their first ever Zambian premier league title on Sunday, moving into an unassailable lead after a 2-0 home win over Zamtel.

Goals from Rainford Kalaba and Enock Sakala ensured ZESCO moved to 62 points with three games left to play, out of reach of their closest rivals.

The two scorers stayed joint top of the goal chart in the premier league with 19 for the season.
