Soccer-Hajduk Split sack coach Ivan Pudar
ZAGREB, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Croatian first division side Hajduk Split sacked their coach Ivan Pudar on Wednesday and are looking for a replacement, the club's chief executive manager Ivica Surjak said.
"There are several candidates for the job but we will keep their names to ourselves for the time being because this is a delicate time for us and we want to pick the right man," Surjak told reporters.
Media have mentioned Macedonia coach Srecko Katanec, former Lazio and Roma manager Zdenek Zeman and former Croatian cup winner Elvis Scoria as possible successors for Pudar.
Hajduk trail champions and traditional rivals Dinamo Zagreb by six points in the Croatian first division and lost the home leg of their UEFA Cup second qualifying round tie with Italian Serie A side Sampdoria 1-0.
