RPT-Indian shares rise 1 pct early; Reliance, HDFC up

MUMBAI, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 1 percent early on Wednesday, led by Reliance Industries (RELI.BO) and Housing Development Finance Corp (HDFC.BO), taking cues from firmer Asian markets.

At 9:57 a.m. (0427 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.93 percent at 17,184.23 points, with 28 components in the green.

The 50-share NSE Index was up 0.9 percent at 5,099.40. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
