SOLAMERE CAPITAL

Lee Scott, former chief executive at Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N: Quote, Profile, Research), has joined Solamere Capital as an operating partner and a member of the investment committee.

Scott will help the private equity firm evaluate investment opportunities and will play a key role in contributing to the growth of its portfolio companies, the firm said. [ID:nWNAB3860]

EAGLEPOINT ADVISORS LLC

The turnaround, restructuring and crisis-management firm focused on middle-market retail and consumer goods sectors was launched on Tuesday.

The firm will be headed by David Chamberlain, former chief executive of Genesco Inc (GCO.N: Quote, Profile, Research); Peter Harris, former chief executive of FAO Schwarz; and Joe Alouf, former head of Prudential's financial restructuring group.
