Sept 1 (Reuters) - Scientific imaging company Andor Technology Plc (ANTE.L) said on Monday it expects its full-year results to "significantly" outperform expectations, backed by strong trading in the second half.

Andor, which makes cutting edge camera systems for research labs, said in a trading update it expects a pretax profit of at least 2 million pounds ($3.64 million) on a revenue of not less than 24.5 million pounds for the year to Sept. 30, 2008.

The company, which announced a recommended management buyout at 73 pence per share in August, said its order book is at "a record level" and it sees continued strong performance in 2009. ($1=.5491 Pound)
