Lam Research repays debt to ABN AMRO Bank
April 2 (Reuters) - Lam Research Corp (LRCX.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said it has paid the outstanding principal balance of $237.5 million of its existing long-term debt with ABN AMRO Bank ahead of schedule, using existing cash balances.
In a regulatory filing, the company, which supplies tools for etching circuits onto microchips, said there were no penalties associated with the payment.
According to the originally scheduled payments, $12.5 million was due in each of the June and December 2009 quarters, and the outstanding remaining principal amount of $212.5 million was due on March 3, 2010.
As of Dec. 28, the company had long-term debt and capital leases of $257.1 million.
