GRYPHON INVESTORS

The private equity firm said it hired Susan Thornton as president and chief executive of Synteract Corp, which owns Synteract Inc and Vince & Associates Clinical Research. Gryphon, in partnership with management and Celerity Partners, owns Synteract.

GREENBERG TRAURIG LLP

The law firm said it has hired Jane Preston, former chief of staff to New York State Senator Kemp Hannon, and Kristina Baldwin, the former counsel to New York State Senator James Seward, in its Albany office. Preston joins as senior director and Baldwin as of counsel.

BNP PARIBAS (BNPP.PA: Quote, Profile, Research)

The French Bank named Johnson Tan as the new chief executive officer of BNP Paribas Capital (Singapore) Ltd and regional head of Corporate Finance for South East Asia. Tan was with Macquarie earlier.
