According to a person familiar with the matter, Deutsche Bank hired Brett Kellam from UBS AG (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) as regional executive for the New York office of private client unit Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown; and New York-based advisers Bill Grous, Steven Grill and Alex Christon and two sales assistants from Morgan Stanley (MS.N: Quote, Profile, Research). [ID:nN07338138]

BROADPOINT GLEACHER SECURITIES GROUP (BPSG.O: Quote, Profile, Research)

The firm hired Steve Hentschel as managing director and head of real estate investment banking of its broker dealer subsidiary Gleacher Partners LLC.

Most recently, Hentschel was a real estate investment banker at Wachovia Securities.

BNP PARIBAS (BNPP.PA: Quote, Profile, Research)

The corporate and investment banking unit of the French financial group appointed Tom Mahala as deputy head of prime brokerage sales for the Americas.  Continued...
