Jefferies Group Inc (JEF.N: Quote, Profile, Research) has hired away three dozen UBS AG (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) (UBS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) employees, including almost all its healthcare investment bankers, in what the Swiss bank called a "massive, premeditated raid." BTIG LLC
BTIG LLC, an institutional broker dealer, said it hired William Chandruang, Jeff Gallo and David Schneider as managing directors in a three-person U.S.-based Japan team. Chandruang was previously at UBS, Gallo most recently worked at Nikko Citigroup, and Schneider was previously with Merrill Lynch.
MIDOCEAN PARTNERS
MidOcean Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, said Steve Shenfeld has joined the firm as president of its newly formed MidOcean Credit Partners unit. Shenfeld previously managed a private equity fund for MD Sass, a $6 billion investment management organization.
JM FINN & CO
The investment manager said Alan Fleming has been elected president of the Yorkshire branch of the Securities & Investment Institute (SII).
