UPDATE 1-Gammon Gold gets $30 mln stand-alone line of credit
* New line replaces prior syndicated credit facility
* Financing will help accelerate 2010 exploration programs
Nov 9 (Reuters) - Canada's Gammon Gold Inc (GAM.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) said it has restructured and replaced its previous syndicated credit facility with a stand alone $30 million revolving line of credit that will be offered through The Bank of Nova Scotia.
The terms of new facility are expected to enhance Gammon's net cash flow as there will be no principal repayments, other than a one-time payment on the maturity date, equal to the drawn loan balance at that point in time, it said.
Gammon said the facility will help to accelerate its expanded 2010 exploration programs as well as the next phase of exploration development at its key Guadalupe y Calvo development property.
Shares of Nova Scotia-based Gammon closed at C$10.57 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Isheeta Sanghi in Bangalore; Editing by Pradeep Kurup)
