June 19 (Reuters) - Chinese digital advertising company Focus Media Holding Ltd (FMCN.O) reported a narrower-than-expected quarterly loss, and forecast a sequentially higher revenue for the second quarter.
The company said it would cease expansion of its digital poster frame network in light of uncertain demand.
"We don't expect to renew the expansion of our digital poster frame network in predictable future," it said in a statement.
Focus Media posted a net loss of $5.7 million, or 4 cents per American Depositary Share, compared with a net loss of $53.8 million, or 42 cents per ADS, a year ago.
Net revenue from continuing operations fell 14 percent to $66.7 million, while that from discontinued operations fell 23 percent to $64.4 million, it said. Continued...
