Nov 11 (Reuters) - Tetra Tech Inc (TTEK.O) posted better-than-expected quarterly earnings, helped partly by growth in its federal government and international businesses, and forecast 2010 earnings below analysts' estimates.
Tetra Tech, which provides water engineering services to public and private facilities, expects 2010 earnings of $1.25 to $1.35 a share, on revenue, net of subcontractor costs, of $1.45 billion to $1.55 billion.
Analysts on average were looking for 2010 earnings of $1.36 a share, on revenue of $1.51 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
For the fourth quarter, the company posted net income of $20.5 million, or 33 cents a share, up from $18.2 million, or 30 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.
