UPDATE 1-Tyco Electronics raises Q3 outlook
* Raises Q3 sales view to $2.45-$2.55 bln
* Sees Q3 shr break-even to $0.07 from cont ops
* Ups Q3 adj shr view to $0.10-$0.17 from cont ops
* Shares up 8.2 pct after the bell
June 15 (Reuters) - Tyco Electronics Ltd (TEL.N) raised its outlook for the third quarter, citing increased revenue from its electronic components unit and the undersea telecommunications segment.
The maker of electronic connectors, telecom network components, and fiber optics, said it now expects sales ranging between $2.45 billion and $2.55 billion, up from its previous forecast of $2.35 billion to $2.45 billion.
The company also forecast earnings from continuing operations to range from flat to 7 cents a share, including a restructuring charges of about 10 cents a share.
Adjusted earnings from continuing operations is expected to be 10 cents a share to 17 cents a share. The company had previously forecast earnings of 1 cent a share to 6 cents a share.
