UPDATE 1-Ctrip.com Q3 beats Street, sees Q4 net rev growth

Nov 11 (Reuters) - Ctrip.com International Ltd (CTRP.O: Quote, Profile, Research) posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit, helped by strong packaged-tour revenue, and said it expects net revenue to grow in the fourth quarter, sending its shares up 13 percent in post-market trade.
China's top online travel agent expects net revenue to grow 25 percent to 30 percent in the fourth quarter. The company reported net revenue of $58.1 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.
For the third quarter, the company earned $28.0 million, or 39 cents per American Depository Share (ADS).
Total revenue for the quarter rose 47 percent to $85.5 million. Packaged-tour revenue was $8.0 million, up 93 percent from last year.
Analysts on average were expecting 32 cents a share, on revenue of $72.2 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Shares of Ctrip were up $8.21 at $72.50 in post-market trade. They closed at $64.29 Wednesday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Saqib Iqbal Ahmed in Bangalore; Editing by Anne Pallivathuckal)
