Former Bank of America investment strategist Richard Bernstein is launching an investment firm, according to CNBC.

UBS (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research)

UBS has had talks to hire senior wealth management executives including former Merrill Lynch wealth management head Robert McCann and former Citigroup executive Sallie Krawcheck, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the investment banking unit of the largest U.S. bank, has hired Sanaz Zaimi in a dual role as head of fixed income, currencies and commodities sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as head of debt and equity structured products sales for the same regions. Zaimi joins from Goldman Sachs Group (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research), where she was a partner and co-head of structured sales for Europe.
