M.Stanley may invest $300 mln in Asian Infra-paper

MUMBAI, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Investment management firm Morgan Stanley (MS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) is close to investing $200 million to $300 million in Asian Infrastructure Pte, the Economic Times reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.

The Singapore-headquartered company is headed by former Indian power secretary R.V. Shahi, and mainly acquires and develops power assets in various countries including India, the newspaper said.

It said Morgan Stanley did not respond to its queries, while Shahi was quoted as saying: "We will let you know at the right time."
