Dlouhy in quarters after injured Davydenko pulls out
CHENNAI (Reuters) - Czech wildcard Lukas Dlouhy entered the quarter-finals without hitting a ball after top seed Nikolay Davydenko withdrew from the Chennai Open injured on a rain-hit Wednesday.
The Russian world number five pulled out of his second round match after aggravating a left heel injury that will also force him to miss the Australian Open later this month.
Dlouhy was the only player to progress Wednesday after the rest to day's schedule was washed out.
Third-seeded Croatian Marin Cilic is the highest seed left in the tournament since second seed Stanislas Wawrinka was shut out in the first round.
