Romania's Petrom Q3 net falls 2 pct, beats fcast

BUCHAREST, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Romania's top oil and gas group Petrom SNPP.BX, majority owned by Austria's OMV (OMVV.VI), posted a 2 percent fall in its third-quarter net profit on Tuesday, beating market expectations.

Petrom said its net profit fell to 615 million lei ($214 million), compared with an average forecast in a Reuters poll of 315 million lei. (Reporting by Marius Zaharia; Editing by Erica Billingham )
