BRIEF-Soccer-Bangladesh sacks Brazilian coach Dido
DHAKA, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Bangladesh has sacked coach Adson Dido after the Brazilian named a controversial squad for next month's South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) championship.
Prior to his removal on Tuesday, Dido dropped a host of regular players from the squad, allegedly for a rebellion against him, and the Bangladesh Football Federation installed former international Shahidur Rahman as a temporary replacement.
Bangladesh will host the eight-nation tournament from Dec. 4-13 with India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Afghanistan also involved.
Dido had coached Bangladesh since April. (Reporting by Azad Majumder; Editing by John O'Brien; To query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
