Briefs-Canada Twenty20 cricket tournament postponed

July 29 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world:

Cricket - A four-nation Twenty20 International tournament scheduled to be played in Canada next month has been postponed until October, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said on Tuesday.

Bangladesh were due to participate in the tournament along with the West Indies, Pakistan and hosts Canada.

Pakistan-based event management company Sports International Marketing (SIM) had planned to host the tournament in Toronto from Aug. 14-17.

Soccer - A fan of the cash-strapped Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia is suing club president Alexandar Tomov for almost $250,000 for causing him "immaterial damages and mental torment".

Yavor Bluskov claims he has found it hard to accept that the club was excluded from Champions League last month due to financial problems and personally accused Tomov for not getting the club's books in order.

"I'll chase him (Tomov) until he pays me for the mental torment," Bluskov told the Bulgarian state news agency.

Soccer - Portuguese midfielder Maniche has been forgiven for the indiscipline that prompted Atletico Madrid to loan him out to Inter Milan last season, according to club president Enrique Cerezo.

"The problem has been sorted," Cerezo was quoted as saying in Marca on Tuesday. "As with all families there are problems and the world doesn't come to an end because of that. The player has apologised and that is the end of it.  Continued...
