COPENHAGEN, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Danish shipping and oil group
A.P. Moller-Maersk (MAERSKb.CO) reported a deeper-than-forecast
net loss for the first nine months of this year but said its
outlook for the full-year was unchanged from three months ago.
Net losses at the owner of the world's biggest container
shipping line in January-September amounted to 3.86 billion
Danish crowns ($777.9 million), against a profit of 17.69
billion in the same period last year.
The result fell below an average forecast of a net loss of
3.33 billion crowns in a Reuters poll of analysts but was within
the range of estimates.
"The outlook for the result for 2009 is unchanged compared
to the statement in the interim report 2009, thus negative in
the order of $1 billion," A.P. Moller-Maersk said in a statement
on Thursday.
