DUBLIN (Reuters) - The European Central Bank will make all future interest rate decisions on the basis of new data, governing council member John Hurley said on Thursday.

"After the decision, there is no bias in the governing council's position -- all decisions in the future will be on the basis of new data. There is no pre-commitment, no ex-ante decision. I think that has been made clear."

"I think it is very important that inflation expectations would continue to remain anchored," Hurley told reporters after the Irish central bank published its annual report.
