TIMELINE-Sudanese air disasters
(Reuters) - A cargo plane crashed shortly after taking off from Khartoum airport on Monday, exploding into a fireball and killing all four Russian crew, witnesses and officials said.
It was the fourth fatal air accident in Sudan in two months.
Following is a list of recent air crashes in Sudan:
July 8, 2003 - A Sudan Airways Boeing 737 crashes shortly after takeoff near Port Sudan, killing 104 passengers and the crew of 11. One child survives.
Nov 8, 2007 - A cargo plane collides with three army tanks after crash-landing at Khartoum airport and two soldiers die in the blaze.
May 2, 2008 - Southern Sudan's minister of defence and a presidential adviser are among at least 23 people killed in a plane crash blamed on engine failure. Dominic Dim, the south's defence minister, and Justin Yak, a presidential adviser for local government affairs, were on the plane that crashes near the southern town of Rumbek.
June 10 - A Sudan Airways plane, identified as an Airbus, with 203 passengers and 14 crew on board bursts into flames after careering off the runway at Khartoum airport. At least 33 people are killed and 113 survive.
June 27 - A Sudanese cargo plane crashes in bad weather killing seven of the eight crew near the town of Malakal.
June 30 - A cargo plane crashes after take-off from Khartoum airport, exploding into a fireball and killing all four crew. Continued...
