STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Shares rise in early trade; oils up

European equities rise in early trade, snapping a four-day losing streak, with firmer crude CLc1 and metal prices boosting commodity shares.

The pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top shares are up 1.4 percent at 1,016.75 points.

Energy stocks are in demand as crude prices rise 1.3 percent. Heritage Oil (HOIL.L) is up 4.1 percent after selling its Ugandan interests to Italy's Eni (ENI.MI), while BG Group (BG.L), BP (BP.L), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) and Total (TOTF.PA) rise 1.2 to 1.5 percent.
