BUENOS AIRES, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Argentina, smarting from defeats by England and Wales, announced six changes on Wednesday to their team for the final match of their British tour against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday (1430 GMT).

Hooker Mario Ledesma has returned to his French home for the birth of his third child and is replaced by his World Cup understudy Alberto Vernet Basualdo.

The rest of coach Santiago Phelan's changes are tactical following a poor performance against Wales in a 33-16 defeat last Saturday.

The Pumas had played better the previous weekend when they deserved more than a 16-9 defeat by England at Twickenham.

Scrumhalf Alfredo Lalanne comes back into the side after playing against England but being dropped against Wales to the bench, where Agustin Figuerola now returns.

Lock Manuel Carizza becomes Patricio Albacete's third starting partner in the second row, while flanker Alejandro Campos is preferred to Tomas Leonardi and prop Marcos Ayerza to Rodrigo Roncero.

Utility back Federico Martin Aramburu replaces Mauro Comuzzi on the left wing.

"We didn't play as we had hoped against Wales. We made some mistakes that we paid dearly for," flyhalf Santiago Fernandez told reporters during practice in Edinburgh.   Continued...
