LONDON (Reuters) - Actor Daniel Day-Lewis and France's Marion Cotillard were among the main winners at the annual BAFTA film awards in London on Sunday.

DANIEL DAY-LEWIS, leading actor
Known for his intense preparation for roles, the London-born actor spent three years working on his part in the epic "There Will Be Blood" before filming even began.
Critics hailed the astonishing power of his portrayal of Daniel Plainview, an early 20th century oil prospector who strikes it rich before descending into madness.
The 50-year-old actor has already won a clutch of awards for the part, including a Golden Globe, and is hot favourite for this year's best actor Oscar.
In an interview with Reuters last month, he described Plainview's outlook as "truly animalistic".
"If you put any human being in certain circumstances, you'd pretty much reduce that human to a state of primeval savagery," he said.
Day-Lewis, son of the late poet laureate Cecil Day-Lewis, won a best actor Oscar in 1989 for his moving performance as a man with cerebral palsy in "My Left Foot". Continued...
