TEHRAN, June 20 (Reuters) - Iran's defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi told his supporters on Saturday that he would always be at their side, he said in a statement, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Mousavi also said in the statement, adressed to his supporters, that he was not confronting the Islamic state.

He added that by not allowing legal rallies, the Islamic state may face "dangerous consequences". (Reporting by Parisa Hafezi; Tehran newsroom, +98 21 8820 8770))
