Vietnam to privatise national airline's fuel unit
HANOI, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Vietnam plans to privatise its sole jet fuel importer Vinapco next year along with three other subsidiaries of national carrier Vietnam Airlines, the government said.
Vinapco is responsible for all of Vietnam's jet fuel imports of about 240,000 tonnes this year.
The company supplies fuel to Vietnam Airlines and about 27 other international carriers which serve destinations in Vietnam, the state-owned airline said on its Web site.
Vinapco would be privatised along with three other ground service subsidiaries of Vietnam Airlines in 2008, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said in a directive seen on Friday.
It is unclear how Vinapco will be valued and how big was the stake the government wanted to offer to investors.
Vietnam Airlines itself would also be privatised next year, officials have said. (Reporting by Nguyen Nhat Lam; Editing by Tomasz Janowski)
