-- The cost of imported material for animal feed production has risen despite a government move to eliminate import duties.
Last year, soybeans soared 80 percent to 7,700 dong (47.8 U.S. cents) per kg while corn jumped 23 percent to 4,200 dong per kg. Vietnam imports 500,000-700,000 tonnes of corn a year for feed production.
