-- The State Securities Commission has approved a plan by Mekong Delta-based Kien Long Bank to issue 42 million shares to existing shareholders and staff under a plan to boost the bank's capital base by 72 percent to 1 trillion dong ($61 million).

THOI BAO KINH TE VIETNAM

-- The government should review whether to raise the annual credit growth target to 35-40 percent to meet funding demands of the economy as inflation has been controlled, said Nguyen Thi Mui, a member of the National Advisory Council on Monetrary Policies.
