HANOI, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Vietnam plans to reduce retail petrol prices by 5.6 percent on Wednesday, state-run media reported.
The popular 92-octane retail petrol would be cut by 1,000 dong per litre to 17,000 dong ($1.03) from 10 a.m. (0300 GMT), the online newspaper Vnexpress (www.vnexpress.net) quoted an Industry and Trade Ministry directive as saying.
Diesel prices will remain unchanged, the newspaper said. ($1=16,497 dong) (Reporting by Nguyen Nhat Lam; Editing by Kim Coghill)
