HELSINKI, July 25 (Reuters) - Wholesale deliveries of mobile phones to retailers in Finland rose 5 percent year-on-year in June, boosted by sales of third generation (3G) phones, the main industry organisation said on Friday.

The number of mobile phones shipped in Finland rose to 166,319 units last month, the Finnish Mobile Communication Suppliers Association said in a statement.

The average wholesale price of a mobile phone fell to 169 euros from 180 euros the same month a year ago, but rose from 129 euros in the previous month.

Finland, home of top global handset maker Nokia (NOK1V.HE), has one of the most mature mobile phone markets in the world, and developments in the Nordic country are seen as an indicator of trends elsewhere.
