HK stocks narrow losses to close 0.6 pct down
HONG KONG, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks narrowed losses
on Monday as upbeat manufacturing data in China encouraged some
bargain hunting, but exporter Li & Fung (0494.HK) fell on gloomy
U.S. consumer sentiment.
The Hang Seng Index .HSI closed down 0.61 percent or 132.68 points at 21,620.19. The index dropped 2.57 percent at the opening session.
The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks fell 0.22 percent to 12,741.88. It opened 2.82 percent down.
Consumer goods exporter Li & Fung lost 3.65 percent. Yuzhou
Property (1628.HK) slid 0.7 percent on its trading debut.
