HK stocks set to open up 1.2 pct; HSBC rises
HONG KONG, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares are set to open 1.19 percent higher on Wednesday, boosted by a strong outlook from index heavyweight HSBC and gains in overseas markets.
HSBC (0005.HK) rose 4.68 percent to HK$92.85 after the bank
declared on Tuesday the first improvement for three years in
losses on U.S. consumer credit. [ID:nLA635993]
The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI was set to open up 265.98 points at 22,534.14.
The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks was set to rise 0.7 percent to 13,460.47. (Reporting by Sui-Lee Wee, Editing by Chris Lewis)
