S.Korea KEPCO hires banks for $500 mln bond -source

HONG KONG, July 13 (Reuters) - Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) (015760.KS) has hired four banks for a five-year, $500 million bond transaction, a source close to the deal said on Monday.

The power utility appointed Morgan Stanley (MS.N), Goldman Sachs (GS.N), HSBC (0005.HK) and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) for the debt offering, which was likely to be priced on Monday New York time, the source said. (Reporting by Umesh Desai; Editing by Chris Lewis)
